Learning Reflection 2

In this week of Hardware and Network Fundamentals I learned about Structured Cabling and how it works.

How Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat3 twisted pairs work.

How to use EIA/TIA 568a/B, Backbone, Horizontal,  and Work Area cabling structures.

How to use Patch panels and a Punch-down tool, (if you don’t know what a punch-down tool is it strips wires and plugs them into patch panels.)

I also posted some stuff on Diigo.com. Don’t know what it is  go visit and give it a try.

*Psst: It’s a site where you can get some cool info sharing from other cool people, need to know something, ask, and get a direct link to a website. Pretty cool, huh!

Still never thought I’d learn about electrical wiring in my life. The more you know.
